On the morning of 3 April, the Azerbaijani defense Ministry announced the decision to unilaterally cease hostilities. However, the press Secretary of the Ministry of defense of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Senor Hasratyan said that the fighting in the Karabakh conflict zone continues. Press Secretary of the Armenian defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan called the statement of Baku “information trap”.
The truce in the Karabakh conflict zone has been breached on the night of 2 April.
