Syria Army Retakes Strategic Area in Damascus Suburb

Syria’s army and its allies stepped up their attack on Takfiri terrorists in suburb of Damascus and recaptured the strategic district of al-Qaboun from foreign-backed militants.


According to Tasnim dispatches, the area of al-Qaboun in eastern Damascus was fully liberated from the grip of the terrorists on Friday following weeks of clashes between the government forces and militant groups.

Syrian troops intensified their operations in the region in early March, in an attempt to force the terrorists to surrender or leave the area.

The liberation of the strategic area as the Takfiri terrorists’ stronghold near Damascus is a serious blow to them.
